Manufactured by Alma, the Soprano XL laser is used to remove unwanted hair from virtually any area of the body, eliminating the need for shaving, waxing and other temporary, often painful forms of hair removal.
This treatment can be used nearly anywhere on the body that has unwanted hair, including the chin, upper lip, legs, bikini line, underarms, back and chest. The length of the procedure varies depending on the size of the area being treated, but usually takes less than an hour to perform.
Unlike other laser treatments, Soprano XL applies heat to the follicles to destroy them, but keeps the dermis cold so that the skin is not heated.
The Soprano XL laser is considered safe for all skin types, including tanned skin. After the procedure, patients may notice redness, burning or itching, similar to a sunburn. These side effects are usually mild and go away on their own within a few days. There are virtually no long-term risks associated with this procedure.
